We are North London’s premier dance school for Ballroom dance classes.
At Live 4 Dancing, parents often see a transformation in their child’s dancing within just four weeks. We create a positive, structured, and joyful Ballroom dance experience for every student—whether they’re dancing for fun, preparing for exams, or training for the stage.

Students have the opportunity to shine in theatre dance shows, take part in exciting competitions, and work toward dance examinations with the world’s leading dance exam body, the IDTA.

All our teachers are qualified, DBS-checked dance professionals who provide a safe and supportive environment where students can build confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love of dance.

Group Dance Classes

Ages 5–19

Our structured Ballroom & Latin dance classes welcome children and teenagers of all levels, from complete beginners to experienced dancers. Every student is encouraged to develop confidence, discipline and excellent dance technique in a fun, friendly and supportive environment.

Whether dancing for fun or working towards IDTA Ballroom Dance and Latin Dance examinations, stage performances or competitions, our dance classes provide a clear pathway for every child to reach their full potential.

IDTA Dance Examinations

Internationally Recognised Qualifications

Our students have the opportunity to take IDTA Ballroom Dance and Latin Dance examinations, providing structured progression and internationally recognised qualifications throughout their dance journey.

With examinations held twice each year, students develop strong technique, musicality and performance skills while receiving official certificates and medals recognising every achievement. These qualifications can also support secondary school and university applications.

Stage Performances

Professional Performance Opportunities

Every student has the opportunity to perform in our annual spectacular theatre production, building confidence, stage presence and unforgettable memories performing in front of live audiences.

Selected dancers may also represent Live 4 Dancing at prestigious national and international performance events, including Disney Performing Arts at Disneyland® Paris, creating experiences that inspire confidence both on and off the dance floor.

Competition Opportunities

Developing Excellence

Students showing dedication and commitment have the opportunity to compete in Ballroom Dance and Latin Dance competitions, developing confidence, resilience and valuable competitive experience.

Live 4 Dancing students regularly participate in the IDTA Nationwide Solo Competition in Blackpool in Ballroom Dance and Latin Dance categories, where they have achieved outstanding results across a wide range of age groups.

Our Founder & Artistic Director

Maria Kyriacou

Dip (RAD), IDTA (Associate), DPhil (Oxford)
“I believe every child deserves the chance to shine — not just on stage, but in who they become through dance.”

Maria is a dance artist, Ballroom dance teacher and choreographer. She graduated from the World Renowned Royal Academy of Dance with a Distinction in Dance Performance & Teaching. Maria was also a Scholar at the University of Oxford, where she obtained a Doctorate in Child Development.

Maria started her dance training at the age of 7 in Classical Ballet. Growing up, she received intensive training for competitions in Ballroom dancing and Latin American dancing from some of the world’s best teachers in the industry, receiving highly commended awards. As a teacher, Maria has a wide range of experience with students aged 5 to 16 as well as adults, training them for exams or simply teaching them to dance.

In 2018, Maria decided to dedicate her time and experience on what she believes can make a real difference in the lives of people and those in their environment. Live 4 Dancing was inspired not only by her passion for Ballroom dancing but also by the lifelong physical, social, personal benefits that it has to offer.

Live 4 Dancing has an impact on the lives of hundreds of students (and their families) in London, UK, and was born to nurture and celebrate the next generation of dancers.

Our goal is simple: to help every dancer feel seen, supported, and celebrated.

LIVE 4 DANCING is a place where students of all ages, shapes and sizes learn to Ballroom dance and perform. This is a studio where creativity, individuality and self-expression are encouraged and has a community of teachers, students and families who are passionate about the performing arts.

Our goal is to create a positive and happy experience for all of our students. We strive to nurture and develop talent, celebrate the achievements of all students and inspire a love and appreciation of dance. We have proudly raised funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity through our annual theatre productions, helping support seriously ill children and their families.

Wings for Life
We are also proud to support Wings for Life, a charity dedicated to funding world-class research to find a cure for spinal cord injury, helping to improve the lives of people affected around the world.
